RUDIMENTS/ THEORY OF MUSIC:
Learning the rudiments and the terminologies and technical terms necessary for music operation (Grades 1-8)

HISTORY OF MUSIC
A survey of the history of Western Music from Antiquity to the 21st century.

MAJOR INSTRUMENT
Specialization techniques on one instrument.

VOCAL/PIANO TECHNIQUE:
Learning to use the voice, through step-by-step training in the physiology of the human body, the voice itself, vocalissi (vocal warm up exercises) and the actual singing of songs with interpretation. Learn the basic techniques of playing the Pianoforte.

MINOR INSTRUMENT:
Learning to play any instrument of choice, through step-by-step, one to one tutoring method.

CHAMBER CLASS
A practical brainstorming/jam session for singers and players.

AURAL TRAINING:
Learning to pitch musical notes correctly and write down, repeat (by singing or clapping) music rhythms correctly.

CHOIR TRAINING
Learning the techniques of training a disciplined, technically competent, obedient and God-glorifying choir.

MUSIC IN AFRICA
A survey of techniques, genres, values and aesthetics in African Music.

VOCAL ENSEMBLE
A workshop for all singers

CONCERT BAND/CHAMBER ORCHESTRA
A workshop for all instrumentalists – whether orchestral or band instruments.

MASTERCLASS (GENERAL)
A guided listening session spanning musicals, operettas, operas and oratorios

USE OF ENGLISH
A study of the use of the English language, lexis, grammar, structure, verbs, sentence construction etc.

HARMONY:
Further knowledge in the use of chords for writing music in four parts, for vocal or instrumental use.

COMPOSITION
Learning the basic technique of writing music for the voice or other instruments, either solo or in combination.

FOREIGN LANGUAGES (French, Italian, German)
Learning basic communication skills in the listed languages, inclusive of grammar and structure.

AFRO-AMERICAN MUSIC
A survey of Music as practiced in America, from pre-slave trade to the 21st century, including a study of the major stakeholders.

CONDUCTING
Learning the techniques of guiding choral or instrumental performance with the use of the hands or the baton.

FORM AND ANALYSIS
A structural analysis of the components of music compositions

ACCOMPANIMENT
Studying the intricate technique of playing for soloists, groups and or ensembles.

MUSIC APPRECIATION AND HISTORY:
Playing through music (with audio facilities) of various periods and composers with short precis of the music and composers and its use in worship.  Content includes hymns, anthems, oratorios, native airs and chants.

KEYBOARD HARMONY & IMPROVISATION:
Learning (on the piano) basic chords and arpeggio structures needed for harmonising simple worship songs, choruses and tunes.

PROJECT:
A scholarly research and comprehensive treatment of specified topics relevant to the development of Music.  Original compositions will also be accepted with reference to student(s) of composition.

MUSIC TECHNOLOGY
Learning various music production softwares, studio techniques, and also repair and maintenance of instruments.

ORCHESTRATION
Arranging short pieces of Music for the Orchestra or ensemble.

RECITAL
Individual performance of selected, approved and prepared pieces with either the voice or other approved instrument of study.

ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation is optional and available for N2,500 per night
